Sabreena “Bree” Covington

Sabreena “Bree” Covington is a native of Baltimore, MD who moved to Texas with her family several years ago.  Bree holds a Bachelor’s degree in Math & Economics and a Master’s degree in Business Management and is in a leadership role at an insurance company in the North Dallas area.  She is also an alumnae of Leadership Texas for Women.

Bree has enjoyed a long career in Finance and Human Resources but is also passionate about community service and giving back.  She is a member of North Dallas Community Bible Fellowship in Plano, TX where she serves as a team lead in the Children’s Ministry and volunteers at Dallas and North Dallas area food pantries.

In 2017, Bree launched her heart felt project and ministry: Breaking Chains focused on helping women and girls break generational strongholds to free themselves on their path to fulfilling their purpose.

Through the ministry, Bree shares her personal testimony to encourage others. The journey led to other speaking engagements and networking with some extraordinary people. As a result, Bree founded Sisters Breaking Chains Together a ministry with a mission to renew, redirect, rebuild and restore women, girls and mother/daughter relationships.

Bree’s family and friends have been the wind beneath her wings and continue to champion her in this ministry. She is thankful to God for helping her to realize that her past wasn’t a punishment, but an intentional part of His plan to make her stronger and enable her to share her passions and testimony to help others.

In 2019, Bree was honored to receive the Trailblazer Service Award from the non-profit, Dallas-based organization Bands of Hope.
