EVENTS

BREAKING CHAINS

Breaking Chains is an event focused on encouraging women to forgive by faith for their freedom. During this event, Bree shares her personal testimony of faith and forgiveness to encourage and empower participants to do the same. This event also includes a Q&A session and/or panel discussion to give participants the opportunity to share their own experiences and hear from others invested in helping sisters break generational strongholds. The inaugural event was launched in October 2017 and since that time, Bree has shared the Breaking Chains experience at several events in the Dallas/Ft. Worth, TX and metro Chicago, IL areas.

TEEN GIRL TALK

Teen Girl Talk is the flagship of the For Our Daughters program. The event includes inspirational testimonies and a panel discussion to talk about the chains teens want to break in their lives. It is designed to give teens an opportunity to learn about the ministry, meet the team and hear from the ministry about resources and support available.

TESTIMONIALS

I believe that God has ordained this ministry to be a blessing to young girls. It is a chance for young girls who may otherwise feel lost, lonely or searching for something a chance to be connected. Most importantly it is a chance for young women to interact with each other in a Godly atmosphere under a godly woman, Mrs. Covington. She has a vision for serving girls, engaging with them in activities and providing for them examples of what Godly women should look and act like.

I, without a doubt, believe in this ministry and would encourage others to attend or join so this ministry will grow and continue to be a beacon to the community.

Sian Whitfield

Too often we underestimate the power of forgiveness. I’m reminded of a scripture that says “Lord, how many times shall I forgive my brother when he sins against me? Up to seven times?” Jesus answered, “I tell you, not seven times, but seventy-seven times.

Each time I’ve attended a Breaking Chains event I have felt empowered to continue to break chains in my life that have been holding me back from walking in the purpose God has created for me. Being a woman who has struggled in the past with forgiveness, these events have truly helped my spirit to break before God as He continues to break every chain that has had me held captive in my own self-pity. #WorkInProgess #EveryDayIWantToBeMoreLikeHIM

Lifecoach

I’ve spent the better part of my life working on advancing civil rights and creating opportunities for young people to further their education and development through the United Negro College Fund/UNCF, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. and Top Ladies of Distinction, Inc.  Having known Bree since the infancy of her ministry and the launch of her organization, I am so impressed with their focus on growing, empowering and supporting women and teens.  Their events and personal engagement with the community through educational programs, service projects and mentoring is just so heartwarming to see.  If you have the opportunity to support SBCT, please share your support and help them to deepen their community impact.
